Welcome to our second news up-date.
I was delighted at the response to our first e-newsletter and for the opportunity to hear the views of many of you on what we have to say about the price situation, availability and other matters affecting our industry. |
It was also very good to be able to share some of our news at Reddifast. Thank you for your interest.
I personally appreciated your feedback and comments. In these volatile times an exchange of information and views is always helpful.
I hope you enjoy this second issue, and again, I hope you will let me have your views, or details of topics you might want us to address.

World Steel Price and Supply Crisis Part 2:
How Reddifast can help you plan ahead
We have seen record highs in prices, but scrap prices at least, are now falling fast. This is a good early indicator that hot rolled product price levels will also fall, although more slowly. High carbon spring steel price levels are historically the last to reflect changes, and the steel mills are similarly the last to react.
We believe that prices will remain stable until January 2009, when downward adjustment should be seen.
In the meantime we continue to hold our prices, and keep high stock levels across virtually all our range.
Reddifast will reflect these downward price shifts immediately we see them, so keep e-mailing or calling us and watch for details on our website.
To help our customers manage their costs, check out our dedicated Small Order Service. Terms are identical to our regular standard order service, with the same 24-hour turnround of your orders.

"A horse, a horse...."
Swords for The Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) have been supplied by Reddifast for use in productions at the RSC at
Stratford-upon-Avon and were taken on a tour of the USA.
One of the three batches supplied to our customer, we have learned, was used as pirate swords in a stage production in London. The material was from stock blanks of 3mm, polished, hardened and tempered. Reddifast cut to length and tapered each one-metre length.
